Floral Frenzy at Club Monaco Fifth Ave.

When I gave up my Pantech 300 (the world's smallest clamshell phone) 8 years ago, life became a touch-screen tapping, ap-guided adventure. Never anticipating life with digital dependency, it's been unimaginably inspirational to watch aps change the world. Amid the myriad of games, personal assistance and social media, aps like WazeWhatsApp, and the Means Database make life better. This week's windows at Club Monaco show that there are multiple dimensions by which to focus and find subtle gems. Keep reading for more...

Louis Vuitton Fifth Ave.

With age comes an affluent appreciation of time and increasingly affordable indulgences. Experience starts setting standards of 'success' and fancy food becomes one of many flavors of 'fun.' The course towards 'content' creates a caution to consciously curb catastrophe; life laments laziness. This week, revisit the bucket list--what have you crossed off so far? While contemplating, take a look at this week's windows at Louis Vuitton...

Hervé Leger, Soho NYC

In a hotbed of hype, the bandage dress emerged in the eighties and stunned many of its androgynous counterparts. With side-slimming sass, the "King of Cling," Azzedine Alaia, paved the way for HervĂ© Leger's namesake style. This week, the windows at Leger's Soho store showcase a new take on a signature style. Spincycle at Barney's New York 24/7,  Maison Margiela (L), Fendi and Balenciaga (R)

Fired-up following a full day of intense meetings, I remind myself that perspective is key to keeping calm. As situations shift, adopting a neutral attitude invites serenity. Over at Barney's New York, Creative Director Dennis Freeman has created a kaleidoscopic display with colorful shoes, bold bags and Funhouse mirrors. Aptly entitled "Spincycle" the rotating pedestals combined with both static and stretching scenery create a symmetrically progressive geometry. Keep reading to see more morphing magic...

The windows of Bergdorf Goodman on 5th Ave, between 57th and 58th, early May

Sluggishly in-between multiple posts/projects, I'm resorting to a #latergram of Bergdorf Goodman's 'rock chic' storefronts (May 2014) this week. Palm trees and motorbikes set the scene for a sensational summer and windblown hair. With a bit of vintage flair, I'm a bit reminded of After the Ball, a cheesey chic flick that served as mindless entertainment after a long week. Speaking of which--Summer Screens are back for the summer! Keep a lookout for participating locations and stay tuned for exciting posts in the upcoming days!

Polo Ralph Lauren on 5th Ave.

Despite the touts  of "equality" at the tip of political tongues and at the top of activists' agendas, I raise a toast to "men" this week. To begin, new and notable brands present collections at Men's Fashion Week in London. By Wednesday, saucy sneakers, stylists and show-goers thin out as Fashion Week concludes. The week ends with Father's Day on Sunday. This weeks' windows at Polo Ralph Lauren nudge and nod at the dads and dudes in our lives. Thanks for life, dad! -WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Bergdorf Goodman, Fifth Ave.

As the saying goes, "Ignorance is Bliss," hinting that happiness follows the footsteps of naivety. In drawing a divide between ignoring the obvious and being obliviously ignorant, there spawns a sense of morality... right? On the heels of Andrew Morgan's True Cost--another exposĂ© on the faux pas of fast fashion--how many now uncomfortably support sweatshop-produced style, after being educated on the abhorable actions of the apparel industry? Yet, devoid of the spirit of ignorant bliss, how many will end up happier, because "knowing" put them on a path of positive change? Take a moment to ponder your position (on sustainable style) and take a peek at Bergdorf's Fifth Ave. windows while you're at it. Happy Wednesday!...

"From Here to Anywhere" Kleinfeld Bridal, NYC 20th Street #storiesby37 #Kleinfeldwindows

Peering into pixels of picturesque perfection, the premise of personal reflection becomes painstakingly profound. Progress replaces purpose when posturing for success; petty primping and priming prevail. The mannequins in the windows of Kleinfeld pack for Paris and beyond, preparing to embrace both a physical and psychological paradise. From here to anywhere, where to?

Chanel gals at the cemetery

Fauntleroy, Plastic Beach and Gay Ponies Dancing in the Snow eclipse Essie's Ballet Slippers in my new springtime polish regimen. Created by Dineh Mohair, founder of 90's brand Hard Candy (since acquired by LVMH), Smith & Cult is the new kid on the cosmetics block. Defiantly devious, yet sharp and sophisticated, the suite of Smith & Cult nail colors lend to the duality of human nature--submissive and subversive sides. This week, glamorous gals in front of big black gates fill the windows of Chanel's Soho store, straddling the line between edginess and elegance. Colorful hues against somber silhouettes reveal rebellion while perfect pleats and textbook tailoring project the traditional sense of Chanel's style branding. These ladies embody the essence of Smith & Cult's  provocative polishes! Keep reading to see all of this Wednesday's windows...

PERSONAL UNiVERSEs, a Fashion Week art "intervention" for Bergdorf Goodman by Eva Petric in the 5th Ave. windows

Once stored in solitude, bits of vintage lace sprout surreptitiously in Bergdorf Goodman's 5th Avenue windows this week. A specially commissioned Fashion Week installation, Personal Universes is an "art intervention" by Eva Petric, and a progression of the artist's Hematoma series. Playing off the idea of clothing as second skin, old, given and purchased lace is conjoined in interconnected webs and serves as the backdrop for a selection of styles from distinct designer's Spring collections. The installation will be on view until March 8th; keep reading to see the different displays ...

Anthropology Rockefeller Center and 54 other stores auction off the handmade birds in their holiday windows to benefit the Nature Conservancy

Another year circles around; New Year's Eve returns with a resurgence of rhetorical ruminating. In annual reflection, what can be counted as success and what will lead to new opportunities? Leading up to 2015, Anthropologie continues its charitable affiliation by auctioning the handmade birds in its holiday window displays. From December 29th to 31st, the public can bid on the winter birds featured in the windows of 55 stores--proceeds will benefit the Nature Conservancy.  Baz Dazzled; Barney's Holiday Windows by Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin at Barneys, Madison Ave.

With tragic tales transpiring over the last week, Barney's front façade bears a fitting banner, reminding viewers that "A life lived in fear is a life half lived." As unveiled last week, the Great Gatsby's design duo Baz Luhrmann and wife Catherine Martin beautify Barney's New York with energizing extravagance. Add merry melodies and ancillary animation to an arts-inspired theme and marvel with awe at a moving menagerie of metal, sensational sculptures and oversized opulence in the store's windows. Louis Vuitton on 57th St. and 5th Ave.; CL = Christian Louboutin, one of LV's Iconoclasts

Both presents and "presence" steal the spotlight in Louis Vuitton's Fifth Ave. windows. A play on signatures and signature designers, LV features 6 iconoclasts in its 160th anniversary celebrating monogram campaign. Alongside their initials, Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo each redefine the concept of 'signature' by injecting their unique personalities into an LV monogrammed piece. Keep reading for a peek at the products...

 Chanel, Spring Street Soho

Third quarter earnings have been released, but the 1.8 million making news for Chanel has little to do with balance sheets. In fact, the sizable flock of followers attributed to Chanel's Instagram debut Monday proves the popularity of the brand's "cool girl" style. This week, midriff-bearing, tweed jacket wearing mannequins show that comfort comes in choice colors. Keep reading for a look at this season's sporty-chic styles and Chanel's signature tweed wrapped sneakers...

Bergdorf Goodman, 5th Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets

Like clockwork, the mechanics of day-to-day pursuits become a homogenous blur. How replaceable is a repetitive routine? Bypassing emotion and exhaustion, robots replace inefficiencies in human activity. Awkward automation mimics an all-encompassing adeptness and we are left to wonder whether robots can rule the world. This week's windows at Bergdorf Goodman feature larger-than-life robots mingling with models á la mode. Have a look at the bunch--which is your favorite?
