Spincycle at Barney's New York 24/7,  Maison Margiela (L), Fendi and Balenciaga (R)

Fired-up following a full day of intense meetings, I remind myself that perspective is key to keeping calm. As situations shift, adopting a neutral attitude invites serenity. Over at Barney's New York, Creative Director Dennis Freeman has created a kaleidoscopic display with colorful shoes, bold bags and Funhouse mirrors. Aptly entitled "Spincycle" the rotating pedestals combined with both static and stretching scenery create a symmetrically progressive geometry. Keep reading to see more morphing magic...

Baz Dazzled; Barney's Holiday Windows by Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin at Barneys, Madison Ave.

With tragic tales transpiring over the last week, Barney's front façade bears a fitting banner, reminding viewers that "A life lived in fear is a life half lived." As unveiled last week, the Great Gatsby's design duo Baz Luhrmann and wife Catherine Martin beautify Barney's New York with energizing extravagance. Add merry melodies and ancillary animation to an arts-inspired theme and marvel with awe at a moving menagerie of metal, sensational sculptures and oversized opulence in the store's windows. Keep reading for a first look at this year's holiday windows....

Colored, Yarn-Covered Cubes Celebrating 60 Years of Chloé at Barney's at 60th St. and Madison Ave.

About 60 years ago, Gaby Aghion was the first to describe her garments as "luxury prêt-à-porter," coining the term "ready-to wear" with her feminine, off-the-shelf silhouettes under the brand ChloéTo celebrate 6 decades of the historic fashion house, Barney's enlisted the expertise of Bob Recine. The result? 5 windows of artistic installations carrying the theme "hair" to new lengths. Keep your eyes peeled for color, texture and a re-emergence of vintage clothing by Karl Lagerfeld.

PICK-A-COLOR \\ MONACO BLUE

Color swatch via Amazon.com

A fun color that highlights the best of each season, Monaco blue brings alive the icy cold of winter, clothes the sprouting bluebonnets of spring, pays homage to the ceremonial skies of summer and adorns the birthstones of babies born during fall. Almost a misfit between baby blue and navy, this vibrant hue is perfectly paired with a winter white or a bold black.
