-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Lord and Taylor, 5th Avenue and 39th Street

Grandiose graphics are trending brilliantly this season. At Lord & Taylor on Fifth, mannequins in monochrome showcase stripes (and solids) in style. Graphic goes big, bold and beyond ordinary to maximize "normal," yet accomplish fashion nirvana. Balance is key; stay straight and customize with unexpected elements.

Contrary to Lord & Taylor's big, bold, blending-in of black and white, Aritzia's windows offer an uncharacteristic chameleon color story. North of the norm, brightly colored chameleons stand out against a backdrop of styled ensembles. Which way will you wander this season? Will you succumb to the standards set by white and black? Or will you follow Aritzia's chameleons and become conspicuous cohorts of color?

    1. Thank you!
Living in NYC, Monochrome seems like the norm. The challenge is to bring on the color, but just enough to make a fabulous outfit, and not end up looking like an abstract painting! Spring is a great time to visit with all the upcoming exhibits and sample sales!

  3. I love the Lord & Taylor window... weirdly enough Hudson's Bay Company on Yonge St. in Toronto, Canada has the EXACT same background! So interesting- although it is kind of neat to see an NYC window in Toronto and HBC and Lord & Taylor are partner stores after all so I guess it make sense.

This is my first time on your blog and its great!
