Rebecca Minkoff watching a MAB being etched at STORY in Chelsea
The event is the first in a
series of talks and demos centered around the theme of “making” and the laser
printer is just one of many machines (MakerBot desktop replicator, CNC milling machine, and injection molding machine to name a few) accessible to techies, entrepreneurs
and curious city folk until October 28. Upcoming workshops include a woodworking demo with AmDC designer Brendan Keim on 10/11 and 10/20, a Scrapyard challenge on 10/21, a rocket-making tutorial on 10/18 and 10/20 and pumpkin carving with PS I Made This founder Erica Domesek on 10/24 and 10/27. There’s something innovative happening almost every night for the next 3 weeks!
