FLORAL DREAMS UNFOLD @MACYS FLOWER SHOW 2025

Floral Dreams Unfold is the theme of Macy's 2025 Flower show

Each Spring, Macy's Herald Square transforms its flagship store into a floral fantasy-- this year's Flower Show is no exception. Even before you step inside, the magic begins at the windows on Broadway. There, fashion and flowers collide in a full sensory escape. Each window tells a story: whimsical animals, feminine palettes, and imaginative scenes that blend nature, art, and a touch of theatrical flair. It’s like strolling past a series of living postcards, each frame more vibrant than the last. Keep reading for a look at the Floral Dreams Unfold windows of 2025...

Tis The Season of Smiles (and Styles) with Santa!

Santa taking a moment at Essex Market

A week before Christmas and Hanukkah, the magic is alive in NYC with lights, cheer and carols billowing into crowded streets. This year, work and mom life have kept me busy, leaving less time for the usual holiday window visits. My little one's growing curiosity about the man in red sparked a new mission: meeting Santa in all his unique styles and settings. It's been a fun adventure to see how the magic of Santa comes alive in different experiences. Keep reading for our take on the free holiday fun this December...

-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Flowers abound at Macy's Herald Square

Taking time to triage, reflect, regroup and rebuild. In three weeks, one of my best pals unexpectedly passed, I survived a weeklong offsite (for work) and a hint of happiness wafted in. Around the world, people continue to starve, technological innovations continue to expand human horizons and our President continues penning cringeworthy tweets; time passes--Business-as-Usual--without pause. Life in intersecting and hastily finite bubbles of breath continues on a path of "ok and "goes on," with new considerations and sometimes less familiar faces. This week, the windows at Macy's summarize spring and the "newness" of another seasonal cycle. Keep reading to see more...

-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Christmas windows at Macy's Herald Square featuring the story of Virginia O'Hanlon

Cherry cheeks and red velour complement the bearded man who heroically hosts holidays past and present. Slinging a satchel of surprises from rooftop to fireplace, "Santa" represents merriment, cheer and generosity for all ages. This week, Macy's 34th Street windows showcase the story of Virginia O'Hanlon, the 8-year-old who wrote The New York Sun and posed the question of whether Santa Claus exists. The famous response [here], prompted a book, a movie, and remains the most reprinted editorial published in an English language newspaper.
