Opening Ceremony NYC on Howard St., Can you guess the hemline of each dress? Look past the jump to see if you're right!
At first I laugh, and then I consider... What irony! Opening Ceremony aptly personifies "the blogger" in its well lit window, with its well dressed mannequins. Carefully clad in designer duds, these lovely ladies dare to stare--looking out into a world that's peering back at them. Like many bloggers, I view the world with a keen eye, scouting shareable substance while assuming the part of a style superstar (ok, maybe a stretch!). But even as a verified voyeur, there are days when I become the self-conscious elephant in the room. There I was, under-dressed in yellow among a sea of expensive Little Black Dresses for a museum preview... and overdressed in a multi-tiered ball gown for a "black tie" venue. But hey, story straight and shoulders back... even these mannequins can attest that the appearance of confidence gives modesty a new meaning!
Did you guess correctly?
I didn't guess correctly :P..Liked the 1st one..

LoL! I like the first one as well. In my college days, I rocked "short." As I hit 30, my hemlines have certainly grown!
DeleteI really like your writing style. You are funny but your posts are also informative- very well done!

Thanks for stopping by! Some days I'm a blog fiend and I feel that my perusing is more "justified" when I get learn something from my recreational reading!
DeleteI just stumbled across these last week and got a kick out of them too--I like your analysis of the viewer becoming the viewed. They also reminded me a little bit of Dalek's art, no?

Yes! Definitely!
DeleteGrowing up, I was fascinated by cyclops, but they usually involved scary looking monsters. This was such a softer look for a one-eyed entity!
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a great job with this. Also, the blog loads super quick for me on Opera. Outstanding Blog!
