-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Spring has spring flowers at Club Monaco's 5th Ave. flagship

Overruling an initial refusal of dessert, the blackberry soufflé at Bar Americain ended up the 'best bite of the night.' Excellent entrées paired with second row seats to Miss Saigon (the day before opening night!) and an amazing performance by Eva Noblezada set the tone for a crucial coming-of-age celebration Tuesday night. Taking time to celebrate a friend's 40th, the themes presented in Miss Saigon revive rigors of choice, strife and sacrifice. What would you give for love? This week, the windows at Club Monaco's 5th Ave flagship parlay a delicate balance between festive floral and fresh wardrobe choices for Spring. Keep reading to see more Spring looks...

CHANEL No.5 IN A NEW LIGHT

No5 In a New Light exhibit by Chanel popping up on 14th Street, NYC #N5NY

A fascinating fragrance of "5" and floral becomes the focus of Chanel's new sensorial pop up endeavor. On the heels of Karl Lagerfeld's Cruise 2015 presentation in South Korea, New York hosts No.5 in New Light, a temporary pop-up promoting Chanel No.5 Eau Première. The lighter, fresher, flavor of decades-old Chanel No.5 is deconstructed into 5 display areas: Creation, Cultivation, Composition, Abstraction and Revelation. From May 7-17th, visitors can stop by 461 West 14th Street to experience the core of Eau Première at #N5NY. Keep reading to catch a glimpse inside the exhibit...

Viktor & Rolf Look 18, Model: Yumi Lambert [photo credit here]

Alexander Mcqueen set a standard for couture clothiers in the last decade; since his passing, my interest in fashion shows has waned considerably. Fortunately, this winter, the emergence (and re-emergence) of select European designers (think Mary Katrantzou, Jean Paul Gaultier, etc.) brightens the onset of the respective global Fashion Weeks with carefully considered and expertly executed couture collections. In particular, Dutch designer duo Viktor and Rolf awes audiences in Paris with their Post-Impressionist art-inspired attire. Entitled Van Gogh Girls, the 21-piece episode revives my curiosity towards couture and renews my respect for the brand. Keep reading to see V&R's SS2015 lineup...
