Spring is "in!" Corseted ladies (in fishnet stockings!) and brilliant blooms garnish the windows of Macy's Herald Square. This year's carnival-themed flower show makes for a memorable moment in Macy's repertoire of flora festivities. From fluorescent manes in "Weird & Wonderful" to exotic plants in "Rare and Remarkable," Macy's has manufactured a media-worthy mix of moving marvels. ETSY POPS UP @ MACY'S

 Etsy pops up at Macy's Herald Square, 34th Street NYC

To extend the scope and scale of homegrown talent, the wholesale handiwork of 8 Etsy artisans land 'IRL' (in real life) at Macy's One Below on January 27th. Past the food court and around the corner from junior's apparel, a selection of 57 traditionally 'online only' items pop up in an edited on-site endeavor between big box mega-retailer Macy's and out-of-box e-tailer Etsy. The fleeting, themed collaborative space is the newest addition to the year-old, radically transformed, 53,000-square-foot cellar at Macy's Herald Square flagship. New brands will rotate every 6-8 weeks as Macy's and Etsy consider a prolonged partnership. Keep reading for a look inside...

Macy's 2014 Flower show theme is "Secret Garden" at its New York flagship on 34th St.

The story of an orphaned girl with an arduous attitude blossoms into a novel of serruptitious secrets, fancy flowers and mesmerizing miracles. Until April 6th, Macy's NYC 34th Street flagship recreates her Secret Garden, fusing flowers, fantasy and fashion. Dahlias and divas alike linger where over 30,000 live flowers frame entryways with fresh fragrance. "This year, we'll travel on a magical journey of discovery…. As you pass through the gateway, you will be enveloped by rich and dynamic colors, elaborate scenic elements and breath-taking landscaping that will showcase hidden floral treasures," says Mike Gansmore, show producer.

Drippy black paint, frizzy blonde wigs and four fashionable frocks help Betsey Johnson launch her dress collection 3/13/13 in classic Betsey style. The designer broke through signature bright pink wrapping to unveil an all-white window space on the South Side of  Macy's Herald Square Wednesday afternoon. From 1PM to 3PM, under watchful eyes and clicking cameras, Betsey Johnson painted the walls, sipped champagne, dressed mannequins and connected with her audience.

Dance of the Nutcracker & Sugarplum Fairy in front of store windows 

With bold colors and a festive spirit, Paul Olszewski and the Macy's design team crafts a collection of windows juxtaposing the most iconic elements of Macy's with recognizable hallmarks of the holiday season. Themed after "The Magic of Christmas" and carrying traces of "Make-a-Wish" (both the theme and the charitable organization), tourists and townies alike are attracted to the spectacular displays that make New York a bit merrier this time of year.
