-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Lord & Taylor 424 Fifth Ave.

Much is quiet, as New York Fashion Week ushers in with a whisper. Grey skies and intermittent drizzle set the tone for a muted, more casual start to the Spring/Summer 2018 shows. Here's to hoping the tempo picks up... In the mean time, have a look at this week's windows at Lord and Taylor, where accessories take center stage...

Clawed and Taylor at Lord & Taylor 's NYC flagship

Nails on a chalkboard may be piercing, but claws on canvas (or glass) are surreptitiously appealing. Masterfully draping walls since the late '80s, graffiti artist, designer and author Claudia Gold a.k.a Claw Money infiltrates the garment district in signature print. Claw Money's cheerfully colored, yet strikingly edgy designs continue to fill the public eye as they migrate indoors for a month. Saturating Lord & Taylor's midtown NYC windows, Clawed and Taylor has a catchy ring to it, No?

-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Lord and Taylor, 5th Avenue and 39th Street

Grandiose graphics are trending brilliantly this season. At Lord & Taylor on Fifth, mannequins in monochrome showcase stripes (and solids) in style. Graphic goes big, bold and beyond ordinary to maximize "normal," yet accomplish fashion nirvana. Balance is key; stay straight and customize with unexpected elements.
