A selfie by Patrick J. Adams from Behind the Lens: An Intimate Look at the World of Suits
In front of the camera, Patrick J. Adams assumes the alias of Mike Ross, a stylish lawyer and proxy LSAT test-taker on USA Network's hit legal series SUITS. Yet, behind the scenes, Adams' love of photography amounts to 25 cameras, an active instagram account and now, a 3-day NYC pop-up featuring behind-the-scenes photography on the set of SUITS. Behind the Lens: An Intimate Look at the World of Suits captures the process behind the production. Set in a temporary space on W. 14th St., spotlights shine on 30 photos, each documenting conventional moments over 4 seasons. A selection of the photos are available for auction, with the proceeds benefitting Pablove Shutterbugs. Keep reading for more details...

Costumes, makeup artists and production crew members come to light in this photo-realistic documentary. Of his photography, Adams notes, "These are not just photographs of the incredible cast of the show, but also our steadfast crew, designers, directors and writers whose phenomenal work shapes every moment in front of the camera while they, until now, have remained behind it." The exhibit runs from Friday through Sunday, January 23 to 25th (open until 8PM on the 25th), and SUITS resumes its new season Wednesday, January 28th.

In a Q&A with the Observer, Patrick J. Adams asserts, "...As an actor, my job is to ignore the camera, and then with my camera I get to step outside of those moments and observe them. I don't know if they're similar in the process, but I do think the instincts of curiosity is a large part of both." Click here to read the entire Q&A.
