Unveiling of 48 haute helmets in the windows of Bloomingdales, Park Ave and 60th St.
48 Helmets for Superbowl 48!
Propped on spinning heads, guests are privy to a 360 degree view of each customized chapeaux along with the designer's bio. Cynthia Rowley's simple white helmet with bunny ears catches compliments while Loomstate's panda head helmet gathers giggles from passersby. DVF's red leopard print and Betsey Johnson's pink florets stand out among a sea of muted colors. My personal favorites are Nicole Miller's black and white striped floral piece and Bloomingdale's black & white checked number with the Empire State Building surrounded by 4 Ladies of Liberty. The helmets will be on display on the Lexington Avenue side of Bloomingdale's 1000 3rd Ave. flagship until February 4th. View all the helmets [here]--which is your favorite?
Toms, Eugina Kim and Fenton Fallon are front and center--Can you guess whose is which?
Couture creations by Vince Camuto and Michael Bastian
Pam & Gela's helmet sports a shock of yellow
Facing forward--with a pop of color by Betsey Johnson (pink helmet)
That's one big Panda head (by Loomstate)!
