-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

Aritzia on the corner of Broadway and Spring St.

The holidays are quickly approaching as lights, trees and gifts begin to pop up in stores and homes everywhere. Comfort, Joy and Cheer are common staples of the holiday season, bringing smiles during good times with great people. However, for some, the holidays are a low point and everything opposite of the festive goodness that's supposed to fill the air. This week's windows present both the fun and the forlorn feelings of the season. Where do you fit in?

C.Wonder on Spring St.

At C. Wonder, bright bows and big boxes fill the windows. Celebrate Wonder! Celebrate a year of wonderful wishes-come-true, of fortunes and mended misfortunes! Celebrate by giving gifts, toasting cheers and spending time with friends and family! Celebrate with love and thankfulness...

And in the celebration, remember the widowed, the orphaned, the less fortunate and those affected by disaster. I had a 1-hour window today to gather some belongings from my workplace downtown. Walking by the windows at the once-bustling seaport was somewhat eerie with tape and boards still marking the spots where Sandy struck. While you're out shopping this holiday season, take a minute to support those affected by the recent storm, smile at a stranger or write a thank-you note. Happy Holidays...
