-WEDNESDAY WINDOWS-

The Cool Girls parading Parisienne chic at Chanel, Soho

In the wake of the week's activity in Paris, the mannequins in Chanel's Soho store promote a sense of style and solidarity, draped in red, white and blue. Carrying Chanel bags in place of "Je Suis Charlie" signs, these ladies have already proclaimed their allegiance to a certain type of acceptance. Where do you stand on freedom of speech? Figuratively and literally--join the 'identity' by downloading the "Je Suis Charlie" ap here. Keep reading to see the rest of this week's windows...

White flowers are the symbol of mourning in Asian culture; Coincidentally, 3 out of 4 suspects of the Paris situation were killed

"By honoring these people lost, and their lives dedicated to the freedom of expression that is fundamental to liberty and democracy, they have become modern heroes in an enduring struggle to sustain the values that make us human." --Huffington Post [source]

or do you think...

"...it is not enough to say "Je Suis Charlie" in order to stand up for free speech. Furthermore, the slogan risks flattening and homogenizing the global response to a complicated, tragic event into an 'us versus them' nightmare, in which to speak in opposition to Islamist terror, one is forced to stand with perpetrators of different terrors." --Vice [source

Style statement...
