BG Follies--An ariel view of a black & white orchaestra of 6 performing in ACT I: Tuning Up
Glitter, Glitz and Glamour fill the air as the holiday season dawns upon us. One of the best parts of NYC during the holidays are the magnificent windows greeting wandering passersby. Over at Bergdorf Goodman on 58th St. and 5th Ave., David Hoey has done it again! This year, the theme is "Follies"--shaped after the Ziegfeld Follies of the 20's and 30's Jazz Age.
In spectacular style, lifelike mannequins and painstaking attention to detail make for a fantabulous celebration of theatrics and splendor over a total of 5 "acts" framed by gold-leafed prosceniums. This decadent display of fashionable festivities is the result of a years' preparation--and is especially lavish as Bergdorf celebrates its 111th anniversary in 2012. If you have the chance, it's worth the trip to visit these windows in person!

11/30 Update: I was walking from a show at Lincoln Center and did a double take of this window--I had to post a picture. Thousands of white feathers--AMAZING!
